Bilingual every day!

School life

Days shared between French and English, a little Maltese every day, and the French school calendar adapted to Malta.

School hours

A day at LFBI-Malte

8:00 am

Lessons start, every morning.

2:30 pm

Lessons end.

4:30 pm

End of after-school activities, offered every day.

During the day, pupils spend time with their French-speaking teacher, then with their English-speaking teacher.

With each of them they learn to speak, read, write and count, but also to find their way in space and time, to think and to experiment… All in both languages!

Every day there is also a little Maltese language and culture, to live well in our host country and to understand it.

School calendar

The French school rhythm, in Malta!

LFBI-Malte follows the French school rhythm, designed around the needs and abilities of children and teenagers. Through the year, periods of lessons and holidays alternate without long breaks in learning. From early September to late June, as in France, pupils progress steadily – and their holidays are well deserved.

Because we are in Malta, the school calendar is adapted to take local public holidays and culture into account.

The 2026-2027 school calendar is sent to families by the school office. Any questions: direction.malte@aflec-fr.org.
